These classes are designed to bring the joy of music and movement to babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and early elementary students. Activities include singing, dancing, focused listening and simple instrument playing up through Piano. We create an environment in which the child's music aptitude is nurtured / skills are developed. Our teachers are degreed, certified and passionate about teaching your children. The children have fun through games, songs and activities from birth through piano. We tune the ear, refine the voice, and develop a rhythmic body through which music can be expressed.

Bryan started The Music Garden at 15 months in the Family Music class. He was very young & clingy and only wanted to play with the blinds! But after 8 classes, I really started to notice a difference. He started sitting in my lap during songs and wanted to participate in the echoing and stick tapping. Now we are in our second semester and he loves it! Robyn Brennan

Since 1984! We have specific classes for each age/developmental stage with appropriate activities and expectations for each: Family Music - birth through 36 months - 30 min - adults companion Younger siblings welcome as free tag-a-longs Cycle of Seasons - 3 year olds - 45 min - adults companion Younger siblings welcome as free tag-a-longs Pre-piano I - 4 and 5 yr olds - 60 min - adults/siblings join for last 15 min The children do not play the piano, other than an occasional simple activity, during Pre-piano I and II. They sing, dance, read and write notation and enjoy ensemble activities. Pre-piano II - 5 and 6 yr olds - 60 min - adults/siblings join for last 15 min Piano - begin age 6 yrs - 3 year program - 75 min - adults/siblings join for last 15 min Children graduate at age 9 or 10 yr olds as literate musicians able to read, write, sight sing, transpose, compose and improvise in all major and minor keys.
